Conheça o regulamento interno da MyCamp
Antes de ajudar nalgumas questões ou dúvidas que possa ter, disponibilizamos o nosso regulamento interno para que possa tomar conhecimento da nossa conduta.
What is the ideal age to register my child?
Only parents will know the answer to this question. Knowing your child you will know the perfect time to subscribe him. If you have any doubts it is better to wait another year to ensure that he is not going contradicted. However, our opinion is that the sooner the easier the adaptation will be. Our programs are for young people from 6 to 17 years old, adapting to the group age.
Is your child coming for the first time to a summer camp?
Over the years, and with our experience, the easiest way to integrate a child is to keep him busy with a very dynamic, engaging and very fun program. Never take for granted your child's adaptation to camp. He/she will be watched over and encouraged to create new friends for a better integration. We do our best to make this experience easy and full of adventure.Know more on: first time at summer camp
Do the monitors have training?
Every year there is an internal training course for summer camp monitors. Over the last years we have created a cohesively and united work team, although we always welcome new monitors with mental and physical capabilities to cooperate with us. These monitors are experts in various areas: artistic, sports, musical, psycho pedagogy, dancing etc. It is mandatory that the monitors present a curriculum and a medical certificate to prove their physical and mental robustness.

Do the children sleep in tents?
No! We have accommodation in dormitories with private bathrooms for both boys and girls. However, there is an exception. One day a week we camp out. On this day we will use tents. We will have a camp fire, usually within the quinta's grounds, which is an activity very much enjoyed!
Are there any health centers or hospitals nearby?
There are three Health Centers approximately 3 to 5 km of the quinta and the Santarem District Hospital is about 15 Km from Cartaxo. As primary care we have close contacts with local doctors for urgent telephone counseling, as well as a dispensary on the grounds and various staff with specific knowledge or training in first aid care.Know more on Security and Health Care
Do you have insurance?
The insurance we have is required by the Law 629/04. Summer Camp organizers are obliged to conclude a contract for personal and group accident insurance.
What about valuable objects and cloths?
My Camp takes no responsibility for any damage or theft during Summer Camp. We advise participants not to bring valuables such as mobile phones, consoles etc. We also advise them not to bring branded clothing, as in many of the activities they might get damaged.
How can I contact my son/daughter during camp?
Parents can contact their children at a specified time for mobile phones delivery. In case of difficulty in contact, parents may contact the monitors' personal phone whose number will be provided on the day of arrival at Camp.
How do parents' visits work?
During the week before camp, or on the first day, parents can visit the summer camp. However, we discourage visits during summer camp period, as this could jeopardize the relationship and the work established by the animators. Only parents or guardians are allowed to take participants away from the premises. Otherwise parent´s authorization (in writing), with proper identification, must be delivered to the Director.
What happens when things go wrong?
Yes, these situations happen. Losing something personal, a disagreement between friends, parents who cannot, for some reason, get in touch with their children, etc. Do not hesitate to contact us, preferably during camp, so we can quickly help solve the situation.
Dangerous or violent objects and attitudes are prohibited; The teaching team should always be in agreement with the measures to take against such behavior.Behavior considered abnormal are all those that raise concern on the part of the staff, discomfort of other participants and that may endanger the good functioning of camp. Camp Regulations must be presented with rules to all participants at the beginning of each camp. Staff will always communicate this type of behavior to parents/educators. Once assembled, the staff, reserves the right ( in very severe cases) to send the participant home, giving parents / guardians a period of twelve (12) hours to collect the child. Fortunately, these situations are very rare at My Camp. However, if so, there will be no refund. Less severe cases will have a sanction decided in the team council and will never be left in the clear.
