"Through the Pig Circuit My Camp will present this domestic animal to our youths…"
The 1 day themed circuits are directed especially for schools who wish to contribute to the children's learning process. My Camp's pedagogical farm, at Quinta da Broeira is located in the beautiful Ribatejo countryside with its evolving nature. The Pig Circuit has a ludic and pedagogical side, sharing the Portuguese cultural tradition of which the breeding and killing of the pig is part of. In the countryside we show how beautiful the pig is and how it's essential in the diet & economy of rural households. The pig signifies great joy for everyone, because it means that there is meat for the whole year, ham being cured and sausages in the smokehouse.
Through My Camps Pig Circuit this domestic animal will be presented to our youths. Its importance in the Portuguese culture and society will allow the confection of sausages as our ancestors used to do.Ask for more information on the pig circuito
